Frequently asked questions
Is it really free for event hosts?
Yes. The planning tools and vendor shortlists are free for couples and hosts. Vendors in our network pay us a small fee for each couple we refer to them. We tell you this upfront on every shortlist.
Do vendor fees make my price higher?
No. We do not add anything to your quote, and the referral fee is never passed on to you. Vendors agree not to charge referred clients more than their standard published or quoted rates. If you ever see a difference, tell us.
How much do vendors pay?
Vendors pay a small fee for each couple we refer to them, from $10–$25 for cakes and rentals up to $50–$100 for venues. Your exact fee is written into your vendor agreement before any referrals. Join as a vendor.
How do you vet vendors?
Before a vendor is listed we confirm an active business presence, ask about licensing and insurance, check public reviews, and confirm they agree to our referral terms. We remove vendors who get repeated complaints. Vetting is not a guarantee, so always read your vendor's contract.
Are you an event planner?
No. We're a matching and planning-tools service. We don't run your event or sign contracts for you. Deposits and payments for vendor services pass through Event-Forger to your vendors. You book directly with the vendor.
Do you arrange alcohol or rent venues for me?
No. We can point you to bartending services and venues, but you contract with them directly. Licensed vendors handle alcohol service under their own licenses.
Where are the budget numbers from?
The Budget Event tool uses rough planning estimates that Event-Forger put together for the Fresno/Clovis area. They are not official figures. Use them as a starting point and confirm with real quotes.
What areas do you serve?
Fresno and Clovis first, plus nearby Central Valley towns where our vendors travel.
How fast will I hear back?
You'll see instant matches from our local list as soon as you submit, and a confirmed shortlist (availability checked) by email within 1 business day. Rescue requests are checked at least once a day; we can't promise round-the-clock response.
